We’re always keeping our ear to the ground to help our students prepare for great careers in the tech industry. One of the hottest sectors in tech is Data Science, and the demand for skilled Data Scientists is truly astonishing. According to research by Indeed.com, employer demand rose 31% since December 2018 and more than 250% since December 2013 — talk about job prospects!
That’s why we’re excited to announce the launch of the Data Science Immersive bootcamp, a new 14-week program that provides a comprehensive understanding of Data Science tools and processes. The bootcamp will prepare you for a career in the growing Data Science industry by teaching you how to apply Data Science methodologies and tools so you can solve real-world problems in business and academia.
Throughout the program, you will develop Data Science solutions using the SQL, R, and Python programming languages, as well as build predictive models by leveraging statistical and machine learning processes. The innovative curriculum was designed by former West Point professor Isaac Faber, who holds a PhD from Stanford University and is currently the Chief Data Scientist for MatrixDS.
The Data Science Immersive bootcamp covers in-depth topics that would typically require several years of classes in a traditional higher education setting. This means that in just 14 weeks, you can develop the skill sets required to be competitive in the workforce as a Junior Data Scientist or Data Analyst.
Enrollment is now open for the first cohort that begins in March 2020. Basic Python knowledge is required, and preliminary Python training is included as pre-bootcamp work if you need extra help. Additionally, you must be 18 years old or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
The Data Science Immersive bootcamp is initially only available at our Bellevue campus, but we aim to roll the program out to additional campuses throughout 2020.
